Anthony Allegro, Enfield High School’s Social Studies Teacher, and his students organized a very successful GoFundMe fundraiser for Enfield Loaves and Fishes. They went above and beyond their goal of $2,000 and Enfield Loaves and Fishes is more than grateful for their hard work and donation. They named their fundraiser the “Helping Hands Project” which stated:

“We are the Helping Hands Project! We are hoping to provide donations for the non-profit organization Loaves and Fishes, which is the local soup kitchen in Enfield, CT. The Helping Hands Project is a community service project created by the students at Enfield High School’s Community Action Learning class. The students have designed this project specifically to help our local soup kitchen during these unprecedented times. If you can provide donations to our cause, we can give the great people at Loaves and Fishes the resources and help that they need and deserve. We’d greatly appreciate it. It is our vision for all people in our community to meet their basic hunger needs by having access to nutritious food and good living conditions. With your donation, we believe that we can help Loaves and Fishes achieve that goal for our community members in need. Any amount you can give is greatly appreciated!”
