The Board of Directors is the governing body of Enfield Loaves and Fishes (ELF). The primary responsibility of ELF is to provide a safe, clean, uplifting environment for those in need of food and fellowship. We serve the homeless, the working poor, the unemployed, and their families. In short, we help people who find themselves in crisis for any reason. We do not judge or turn anyone away.
Enfield Loaves and Fishes began as the Enfield Soup Kitchen in 1983 by Victor Scussel and his wife and friends in the basement of St. Andrew Church. What began as a 3 day a week operation has evolved into an all week service of a meal per day.
